Our Impressions of Scuro
Scuro places incense within a composition of contrasting textures. Bergamot and grapefruit give the opening a clear brightness, while elemi extends the resinous theme. Cardamom and Sichuan pepper bring spice to the heart; jasmine offers a quieter floral detail. Vanilla and amber soften the drier character of guaiac and cashmere woods.
We would consider it for a gallery visit, an evening concert or an intimate dinner in cooler weather. It may suit someone who enjoys incense but also appreciates citrus and the comfort of a softer woody base. The composition suggests reflection without giving up the lively detail of its brighter notes.
