Our Impressions of Vanille Caviar
Vanille Caviar places vanilla in a botanical and resinous context. Reed and blackcurrant join cardamom in the opening, while osmanthus and tonka bean bring contrasting accents into the heart. Labdanum and Peru balsam deepen the balsamic side of the structure. We find the combination interesting for the way these materials surround vanilla without reducing the composition to that note alone.
We would investigate Vanille Caviar for a winter evening or a wardrobe that already enjoys vanilla with resinous details. A decant lets you compare the reed and osmanthus accents with tonka bean and Peru balsam. Its Collection Matières setting places an emphasis on a central material, but your own response to the surrounding notes remains the useful test.
