Our Impressions of L’Aimée
L’Aimée has a broad floral heart framed by citrus, blackcurrant bud and an extensive woody base. Rose, jasmine, champaca, lily of the valley, orange, heliotrope and orris are joined by later references to raspberry and peach. Cedarwood, vetiver, patchouli, amyris, oakmoss and sandalwood bring a varied setting around vanilla, amber and musk.
We would explore it for a daytime celebration or an early evening occasion in spring. Its interest lies in the bouquet as a whole and the tension between fruit, flowers and mossy woods. Clients comparing MDCI florals may find it useful beside La Surprise, whose rhubarb and freesia create another perspective.
