A Creative Vocabulary at Dior

Within La Collection Privée, Demachy's compositions explore the house's aesthetic through flowers, woods, spices and gourmand textures. A creative idea becomes most interesting when it changes how a material is perceived: rose can feel shaded, tonka can reveal a delicate bitterness, and an aromatic wood can suggest the coolness beneath a canopy of trees.

Three Ways of Creating Atmosphere

Gris Dior places rose within a woody, mossy setting shaped by patchouli and luminous citrus. Fève Délicieuse examines the warm, sweet and subtly bitter facets of tonka bean, softened by vanilla. Eden-Roc turns toward sea salt, mineral impressions, white flowers and pine. Our selection follows these contrasting directions, from a floral chypre atmosphere to gourmand warmth and the suggestion of a sunlit coast.
