Marie Hugentobler's work for Atelier Materi gives each central material room to reveal its less familiar facets. Bois d'Ambrette, Narcisse Taiji and Poivre Pomelo offer three contrasting starting points: the softly textured character of ambrette, the complexity of narcissus and the brighter meeting of spice with grapefruit. The house's material-centered approach finds an attentive interpreter here.
Olfactory Signature
A material becomes a complete composition through the relationships around it. Floral, vegetal and animalic nuances can coexist in narcissus; ambrette can suggest both wood and softness; spice can sharpen citrus.
