Le 8 invites attention to unfamiliar combinations. The tart citrus opening meets a tea-and-lacquer idea that feels more abstract than a conventional fruit or floral heart; cherry blossom and peony bring a softer counterpoint. Saffron and sandalwood carry the composition toward warmth. We would choose it for an evening exhibition or a dressed-up dinner, particularly in the cooler transitional months when its contrasting textures suit the occasion.
