Decision 42 is compelling for the contrast between its bright opening materials and its darker resinous center. Pink pepper, bergamot and neroli provide a vivid frame for cardamom and cinnamon. Juniper then meets frankincense, myrrh and rectified pine tar, with sandalwood connecting those aromatic and smoky facets to the base. Vanilla and labdanum offer a warmer counterpoint to cedarwood and patchouli.
A cool autumn day, an evening dinner or a thoughtful formal occasion would be fitting settings to explore it.
