Shem-el-Nessim begins with a light citrus-floral impression from bergamot and neroli. That opening gives way to a fuller bouquet in which geranium, rose, jasmine and ylang ylang surround the distinctive powdery texture of orris.
The base continues the soft character of the heart. Heliotrope introduces an almond-like floral warmth, while vanilla and musk smooth the blend. Cedarwood, sandalwood and patchouli give the composition a grounded woody dimension beneath its powdery surface.
