Blackcurrant gives the resins a vivid counterpoint. We find the contrast more interesting than a straightforward fruit composition: the brightness has something darker beneath it, with incense adding a dry, smoky edge.
Myrrh brings the composition into a warmer register. We would explore it for an autumn dinner or an evening gathering, especially when a familiar fruity fragrance feels too light for the occasion.
