A REMARKABLE JOURNEY
Coralie Spicher — Curiosity Made Tangible
A familiar flower can become surprising when placed beside an unexpected texture. Coralie Spicher's work for Mayhap explores that possibility with a palette that makes room for ginger, iris, incense and even an imagined vinyl accord.
From Biochemistry to Creative Expression
Mayhap introduces Spicher as a Swiss perfumer with a background in biochemistry. That meeting of analytical study and imagination offers a useful perspective on composition: a perfume can be carefully constructed while still leaving room for an unusual, emotionally suggestive idea.
Two Mayhap Perspectives
Potion d'Inconnu places luminous ginger and orange blossom around a floral heart of tuberose and ylang-ylang, with a vinyl accord introducing an unexpected tactile dimension. Éveil Élémentaire follows a darker aromatic path through pepper, incense, iris, lavender and licorice, supported by resinous and leathery facets. The contrast is more revealing than a simple catalogue of notes. One composition invites curiosity through unfamiliar surfaces; the other draws interest from the tension between aromatic clarity and warm, shaded materials.
