A REMARKABLE JOURNEY
Florence Fouillet — Travel Interpreted through Materials
Florence Fouillet's work for Les Indémodables demonstrates how an exceptional raw material can become the starting point for an entire fragrance journey. In the house's colognes, freshness is a structure with depth rather than merely an opening impression.
Materials with a Sense of Place
The Escale compositions celebrate distinctive origins and treatments of their central ingredients. Escale en Haïti is built around Haitian vetiver, bringing a textured earthy-green foundation into the bright architecture of a cologne. Escale en Indonésie makes use of an ambergris tincture, pairing its soft marine character with citrus, petitgrain, sandalwood and jasmine.
Two Contrasting Destinations
In Escale en Haïti, pink pepper and juniper enliven vetiver before tonka and myrrh introduce warmth. Escale en Indonésie takes a more solar direction: bergamot and lemon meet leafy green facets, while ambergris, sandalwood and jasmine give the composition a quietly textured finish. Read together, the fragrances reveal how the choice of one remarkable material can shape the whole character of a scent.
