A Journey through Materials

Montero studied perfumery at Montpellier University before developing his experience through internships, work with Jordi Fernandez in Barcelona and training at Givaudan's perfumery school. His own account emphasizes the pleasure of working with other creative people and an intuitive response to raw materials.

Three Distinct Creative Settings

Cavort gives a white-floral bouquet depth through a saffron accord, sandalwood and incense. Chandigarh Express explores a more architectural contrast, joining cardamom, jasmine and davana with leather, vetiver and patchouli. Tropiques turns toward a brighter atmosphere of citrus and tropical fruit, softened by floral, caramel and musky nuances. The selections reveal how Montero's interest in contrast can produce very different experiences, from textured floral warmth to a sunlit fruity impression.
