Our Impressions of Il y avait un Jardin… I
For us, Jardin I evokes the brightness of citrus among leaves and flowers. Rosemary and lemon petitgrain give the opening and heart a green outline, while orange blossom offers a softer detail. The resins and sandalwood add warmth beneath that sunlit impression.
We picture a garden terrace, simple cotton and an afternoon with little on the agenda. We would place it with someone who enjoys the vocabulary of classic cologne and wants citrus, herbs and flowers connected to a gently resinous woody foundation.
